Re-Glass is at the time being the only Hungarian company that processes solar cells, since 80-85% of the gross weight of these units is glass.

After pre-treatment by our suppliers the cells are free from metallic and electronic parts.

Depending on the dimensions, layers and the foil used we use different separation methods and different shreddering in order to separate these from the glass we are aiming at.

Since solar cells are made of flat glass of highest purity, following our treatment the glass can directly be used for new glass production .

Our goal is to avoid disposal of the foil extracted – just llike we do with windscreens – and forward them to industrial recycling directly.

Our R&D department is continuously working on the improvement of our processing methods in order to maintain best available practice.
